德克薩斯農(nóng)工(a&m)大學（tamu）texas a&m university是一所四年制公立大學,成立于1876年,現(xiàn)有學生多達41,000人,大學占地5,142英畝,是全美校園特大的學府之一。德克薩斯農(nóng)工(a&m)大學（tamu）texas a&m university 共分十大學院,據(jù)《紐約時報大學指南》的評語,一直以來,德克薩斯a&m大學都是工程和農(nóng)科最好,但近年來商科管理發(fā)展很迅速,尤其是會計學聲譽日隆,大學其他優(yōu)秀學科,還包括海洋研究、建筑、環(huán)境設(shè)計、教育、經(jīng)濟和心理學。德克薩斯a&m大學被《美國新聞與世界報道》評為二級國家級大學,學術(shù)聲譽全美排名第51,此外《紐約時報大學指南》給予它三顆星的學術(shù)評分。德克薩斯a&m大學位于德克薩斯州大學城,校園距休斯頓約90里。校方積極招收外籍生,目前有來自不同國家的國際學生就讀,校方提供課業(yè)、就業(yè)、保健、心理等服務(wù)。校內(nèi)有許多社團活動,學生可自選參加,如國際學生組織。特殊設(shè)備包括美術(shù)館、粒子旋加速裝置、原子爐、電子顯微鏡、兩座示范油井、農(nóng)場、及劇院。運動設(shè)備包括運動中心、運動場、田徑場、游泳池、籃球場、手球場、網(wǎng)球場、射靶場、高爾夫球場等。
